Since my graduation from the Faculty of Applied Linguistics and Cultural Studies of the University of Mainz in Germersheim in 1991, I have been working as a freelance translator for both individuals and companies.
I am a member of the BDUE (Association of Interpreters and Translators).
My office is fully equipped with modern communication tools and current software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint).
In addition, I work with the translation tool Trados. This integrated terminology database enables me to use my clients’ company specific terminology and their unique style with which they represent their company to the public.
All existing translations are stored in a workbench, serving as source texts and ensuring prompt access to technical or industry specific terms.
